In the cold season La Cascina Langa acquires a particular charm: these are the best months to experience the special internal atmosphere of the house and all the things it offers inside and all the internal playful and convivial spaces.
In the cold it is very pleasant to be in the large kitchen and in the two livingrooms, around the fireplaces (there are two: a very large one in the kitchen and one in the room with the hammock) and around long tables.
In the main kitchen you will find all the utensils for cooking: It’s also a lot of fun to get involved in kneading and baking: the Pizza House is a real little house, closed, so it can also be used in rain or snow.
The fire is magnetic: in autumn-winter a large brazier can be installed outside.
The table tennis and table football are placed in indoor spaces so that they can always be used.
The football field and barbecues are always usable: in case of rain, portable barbecues are available that can be installed under the arch.
The solarium terrace was designed specifically for autumn and winter: it is located in the most sheltered point of the house and exposed to the south, allowing you to be outdoors even in the cold months.
Walking in the woods is beautiful in every season and for 9 months of the year you can swing in hammocks.
What to do in the winter in the surrounding area
For those who want to discover the surroundings there are many ideas for walks, horseback or mountain bike excursions, food and wine tours and spas of Acqui Terme.
There is the mushroom season, then the chestnut season, which can also be found in the beautiful woods of the property.
The area is also rich in truffles, both black and white ones, and it is possible to organize outings with the trifolau (truffle hunters) and their dogs.
It is also a good time to go around the nearby cellars to taste and buy wines: some groups take advantage of the opportunity to stock up on bulk wine and bottle it in the Cascina cellar.
In the cold season it is wonderful to spend a few hours in the thermal spas of nearby Acqui.
The snow on the Cascina is wonderful: it envelops the house and the surrounding hills in a truly evocative blanket. We are well equipped to receive groups even with heavy snowfalls because the house is reached by a road from the Municipality of Denice which keeps it free, and we are also equipped with special private vehicles to open the road and the front of the house.
